A fun and easy-to-use website creation tool that pupils can utilise to design and create their own websites. Pupils can link multimedia pages and incorporate pictures, text, shapes and animations into their designs.

A range of curriculum related templates is provided to get children started, along with a wide selection of pictures, animations and ready-made buttons.

The user-friendly approach removes the technical barriers associated with HTML, so children can create websites that can be immediately published to the World Wide Web.

The program directly supports the QCA ICT Units 3A, ‘Combining text and graphics’ and 6A, ‘Multimedia presentation’ but can be used for a wide range of writing and design activities across many curriculum subjects.

Pupils can use BlackCat Spider to:

• Create multiple pages and link them together
• Apply special rollover effects to text and images
• Create professional-looking buttons using styles such as shadow and bevel
• Preview your website on screen to see how it will look when published.
