SlideShow is a very simple and easy-to-use tool for creating presentations. It is ideal for pupils and teachers to use to create a wide range of presentations, including displays of pupils’ work, electronic notice boards and class projects.

The program will accept pictures, which may have been created using a graphics age such as Fresco or even photographs from a digital camera. Pupils can enliven their slides by adding video and sounds.

To create a presentation, simply drop the files you wish to use onto the SlideShow window, set the type of transition effect and length of pause between each slide, and then click the display button to view your full screen presentation.

SlideShow is suitable for a range of ages and abilities and is a worthy addition to any Primary school ICT suite. Use this program as part of QCA ICT Unit 6A, 'Multimedia presentations'.

With Slideshow pupils can:

• Create presentations containing pictures, sounds, text and videos
• Choose from many exciting effects when displaying slides
• Choose the delay between each slide or use on-screen buttons to move through your presentation.
